C\u2019est \u00e0 l\u2019IREDU-CNRS qu\u2019elle a d\u00e9but\u00e9 son parcours de doctorante, sous la direction du Prof. Bruno Suchaut. Celui-ci enseignant d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 l\u2019UNIL, elle y a achev\u00e9 son doctorat et a soutenu sa th\u00e8se le 28 septembre 2016. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Les nouvelles lignes directrices de l\u2019\u00e9ducation mondiale pour 2030, adopt\u00e9es par l\u2019UNESCO en 2015, se r\u00e9sument ainsi\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Assurer une \u00e9ducation inclusive et \u00e9quitable de qualit\u00e9 et un apprentissage tout au long de la vie pour tous\u00a0\u00bb. Or, l\u2019alphab\u00e9tisation de base est encore un probl\u00e8me en Afrique subsaharienne. Si les chances d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole primaire y sont presque garanties, les chances de r\u00e9ussite ne le sont pas. L\u2019utilisation d\u2019indicateurs statistiques trop g\u00e9n\u00e9raux pour mesurer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 des syst\u00e8mes \u00e9ducatifs occulte le probl\u00e8me de la qualit\u00e9. Mesurer quantitativement l\u2019acc\u00e8s et la survie \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole ne renseigne pas sur ce que les \u00e9l\u00e8ves apprennent effectivement. Logiquement, tout syst\u00e8me \u00e9ducatif public de base a pour mission premi\u00e8re d\u2019alphab\u00e9tiser la population.<\/p>\n<p>Lorsque les enfants fr\u00e9quentent l\u2019\u00e9cole, mais sont analphab\u00e8tes au sortir de celle-ci, la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019enseignement doit \u00eatre remise en cause. Pour ce faire, la pr\u00e9sente recherche propose une analyse en trois temps. Premi\u00e8rement, l\u2019\u00e9tat de l\u2019\u00e9ducation est mesur\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un indicateur quantitatif, l\u2019IDEA. Dans un deuxi\u00e8me temps, un indicateur qualitatif rend compte de la proportion r\u00e9elle d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ves alphab\u00e9tis\u00e9s\u00a0: l\u2019IDEB est calcul\u00e9 \u00e0 partir des scores obtenus par les \u00e9l\u00e8ves en fin d\u2019\u00e9cole primaire aux tests d\u2019acquis scolaire PASEC ou SACMEQ. La mise en relation des deux indicateurs (IDEC) montre l\u2019\u00e9volution \u00e0 la fois quantitative et qualitative de quatorze pays d\u2019Afrique subsaharienne durant la d\u00e9cennie 2000-2010.<\/p>\n<p>Enfin, le concept de marginalisation est approfondi \u00e0 travers l\u2019analyse de documents-clefs concernant les choix de politiques \u00e9ducatives de ces pays durant la m\u00eame d\u00e9cennie.
