Au vrai, cela suppose, non seulement, de s\u2019assurer qu\u2019il s\u2019agit bien d\u2019un terme avec statut conceptuel, ce qu\u2019atteste la s\u00e9rie des discours qui ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9, discut\u00e9, manipul\u00e9 ce terme. Mais ce concept travaill\u00e9 par divers auteur(e)s, peut-il \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9 en plus comme esth\u00e9tique ? Cela suppose de le tester \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard des diff\u00e9rents sens qu\u2019on met sous ce vocable d\u2019esth\u00e9tique, lui-m\u00eame devenu concept \u00e0 force d\u2019\u00e9crits et de discussions. Il n\u2019est pas possible d\u2019\u00e9voquer tous les sens du mot, mais de se concentrer sur la diff\u00e9rence entre l\u2019esth\u00e9tique comme artistique et l\u2019esth\u00e9tique comme go\u00fbt, gammes de valeurs, attitude sp\u00e9cifique. Des deux c\u00f4t\u00e9s, on consid\u00e9rera diverses raisons de sanctionner l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s de dispositif au statut de concept esth\u00e9tique. Through a close reading of texts from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, this talk aims to trace a literary archaeology of devices while also highlighting the profound ways in which these devices have transformed the structure of literary works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">The relationship between optical devices (media) and literary texts can be explored from two perspectives: a thematological approach, which seeks to reconstruct the cultural history of these devices and analyze their presence as objects within narratives, and a theoretical perspective\u2014more significant in terms of literary analysis\u2014which examines the structural homologies linking textual composition to visual experience. This approach has gained particular prominence in contemporary scholarship, especially in English-speaking contexts, where it builds upon foundational works such as Marjorie Hope Nicolson\u2019s studies on the impact of technology on visual imagery in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century English poetry, and Yvonne Holbech\u2019s research on optical motifs in the works of E.T.A. Hoffmann. These two methodologies differ significantly: Nicolson\u2019s work presents sweeping frescoes that intersect the histories of literary culture, science, and technology, whereas Holbech\u2019s research remains within the bounds of a detailed inventory\u2014albeit a valuable one\u2014of the \u201cmedia\u201d of vision in Hoffmann\u2019s tales, offering insights into the poetological implications of his aesthetic preferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">Ultimately, it is from the perspective of poetics that this research holds the greatest significance for literary studies, as it seeks to investigate the profound transformations that new technologies introduce into literary texts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\"><strong>Michele Cometa<\/strong> est professeur en Etudes culturelles et Culture visuelle \u00e0 l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 de Palerme. La musique de film comme dispositif d\u2019interpr\u00e9tation sc\u00e9naristique&nbsp;\u00bb<\/strong><br>Constance Frei (UNIL)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">La bande originale d\u2019un film est le fruit d\u2019un travail minutieux effectu\u00e9 par le compositeur-arrangeur, habituellement en collaboration avec le r\u00e9alisateur. Ensemble, ils d\u00e9finissent le r\u00f4le et la place de la musique dans le film. Pour chaque sc\u00e8ne, le compositeur va s\u00e9lectionner parmi un large \u00e9ventail de techniques d\u2019\u00e9criture musicale. Parmi ces proc\u00e9d\u00e9s figure l\u2019<em>ostinato<\/em>, ou le principe de la r\u00e9p\u00e9tition \u00ab&nbsp;obstin\u00e9e&nbsp;\u00bb, un dispositif capable de d\u00e9voiler certaines particularit\u00e9s sc\u00e9naristiques avec une efficacit\u00e9 redoutable. Que la r\u00e9p\u00e9tition se situe \u00e0 petite \u00e9chelle, sous forme de motifs en boucle, ou alors \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle, avec l\u2019emploi d\u2019une m\u00eame musique dans des sc\u00e8nes diff\u00e9rentes,&nbsp;notre perception ainsi que notre interpr\u00e9tation du film en est influenc\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">Cette rencontre propose d\u2019analyser \u2013 \u00e0 travers des \u00e9tudes de cas \u2013 les outils musicaux, les r\u00e9seaux d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ments sonores, les m\u00e9canismes, les engrenages et la mani\u00e8re dont ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments obstin\u00e9s r\u00e9sonnent avec l\u2019image et le sc\u00e9nario.
