{"id":716,"date":"2026-10-02T16:14:23","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T14:14:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/dino\/?p=716"},"modified":"2026-10-02T16:14:24","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T14:14:24","slug":"chain-of-trust-to-fight-disinformation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/dino\/chain-of-trust-to-fight-disinformation\/","title":{"rendered":"Chain-of-Trust to Fight Disinformation\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 24 September 2026, a workshop on \u201cFighting Disinformation &amp; the Role of AI\u201d was organized by the\u202f<strong>HEC Research Center for Grand Challenges<\/strong>\u202fand the\u202f<strong>Department of Information Systems at HEC Lausanne<\/strong>, with\u202f<strong>Prof. Liudmila Zavolokina and Prof. Patrick Haack<\/strong>\u202famong the lead organizers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event brought together researchers, policymakers, media professionals and technology experts to discuss the growing impact of artificial intelligence on the creation, dissemination, and verification of digital information.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During her presentation, Valentina Ebrahimi discussed how trust can be established in digital information when content can increasingly be generated, modified, and processed using AI-based tools.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A central theme of her presentation was the transition from chain-of-custody to chain-of-trust.
