Our paper, \u201cResilience in Times of Crisis: Empowering Refugees with Self-Sovereign Identity,\u201d co-authored by Aleksandra Garazha<\/a>, C\u00e9dric Merz<\/a>, and Gerhard Schwabe<\/a>, was accepted and will be soon presented at ICIS conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this paper, we address the challenges of the Ukrainian refugee crisis in Switzerland. We propose a Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) solution to streamline refugee management, empowering refugees with secure digital identities while increasing efficiency for organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By combining research and feedback from refugees and organizations, we developed key design principles that could transform how we approach refugee identification and empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s still a long way to go, and we need innovative solutions to keep building societal resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
