When it comes to validating and attesting to what we have mastered or what we are capable of doing, obtaining a diploma issued by institutional structures (universities, training institutes, colleges) as part of a specific, identified training pathway is of prime importance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the advent of distance learning, access to training and certification of knowledge and skills has become more accessible and democratic. However, the development of skills can also be part of the pursuit of other activities. These skills are acquired throughout a person's life and individual career.

These skills are referred to as \"informal\" and are developed outside of official career paths. As a result, they are difficult to identify and value. In recent years, a promising new technological tool called the digital badge - or Open Badge - has made its appearance in training circles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
