SWISS BIOINFORMATICS

SIB NEWSLETTER - JANUARY 2022

IN THIS ISSUE

SIB is bidding farewell to Christine Durinx, its Joint Executive Director and pioneer in biodata infrastructure, who will leave the institute at the end of March to take on a new position in Belgium. Christophe Dessimoz, SIB Group Leader at the University of Lausanne and a professor at University College London, will be succeeding her, and we are looking forward to sharing his vision for Swiss bioinformatics with you in the next edition!

Also in this edition: SIB’s role in international efforts for COVID-19 data sharing; dates for [BC]2 2023; latest software and resources to join the SIB portfolio; a website to popularize evolutionary biology, and more.

TAKING THE PULSE OF SIB
