She is part of the \u201cHeart Magic project\u201d that aims to characterize heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. Her research focuses on developing whole heart free-running mapping techniques to quantitatively assess heart failure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pauline obtained both her Bachelor and Master degrees at EPFL (Lausanne,Switzerland) in Physics (2019) and Applied Physics (2021). She specialized in BioMedical Imaging through 3 projects. A Metabolic Modelling applied to PET semester project at the LIFTMET (Laboratory for Functional and Metabolic Imaging,EPFL) with Prof. Gruetter, an internship on Deep Learning segmentation of Head and Neck tumor in the PinLab (PET instrumentation and Neuroscience lab, HUG) with Prof. Zaidi, and a Master Thesis on CMR Model-based T2 mapping at the CHUV-UNIL Translational Magnetic Resonance Research Center with Dr. Van Heeswijk.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her free time she likes to cook, read and practice yoga.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>e-mail: pauline.calarnou@chuv.ch Department of Radiology Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV)Rue de Bugnon 46, BH 08.741011 Lausanne, Switzerland Pauline Calarnou has been a PhD student at the CHUV-UNIL Translational Magnetic Resonance Research Center since October 2021.
