Bastien Milani has been a postdoctoral fellow at the CHUV-UNIL Translational Magnetic Resonance Research Center since june 2018. He studied physics at the Swiss Federal institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and obtained a PhD degree on the subject of kidney MRI and sodium MRI in the group of professor Michel Burnier and PD Dr. Menno Pruijm at the CHUV and the University of Lausanne. He currently combines his taste for mathematical formalisms and applied physics by working on image reconstruction techniques that make use of optimization methods, as well as the direct application of these techniques to cardiac MRI.
