L&rsquo;expression \u00e9voque sans doute d&rsquo;abord la transformation des modes de production et de diffusion du cin\u00e9ma de fiction dominant, notamment la place nouvelle des effets visuels g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s par ordinateur. C&rsquo;est pourtant \u00e0 un tout autre pan du cin\u00e9ma d&rsquo;aujourd&rsquo;hui que s&rsquo;int\u00e9resse le colloque organis\u00e9 par les sections de cin\u00e9ma de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne et de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Picardie Jules-Verne. Il s&rsquo;agit en effet de mesurer les transformations apport\u00e9es par les appareils num\u00e9riques dans le cin\u00e9ma \u00ab pauvre \u00bb, celui r\u00e9alis\u00e9 dans des pays qui ne disposent pas d&rsquo;une industrie du cin\u00e9ma, ou dans des contextes consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme marginaux ou p\u00e9riph\u00e9riques, ou enfin par des artistes ind\u00e9pendants des circuits normalis\u00e9s.
