I am broadly interested in the ecological drivers of complex trait evolution across large scales, as well as in what drives the coevolution or modularity of suites of traits.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"110\" height=\"159\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/bertelsmeiergroup\/files\/2026\/10\/image.jpeg\" alt=\"image\" class=\"wp-image-1622\" style=\"aspect-ratio:0.6918292167401413;width:208px;height:auto\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">image<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I did my PhD at the National Museum of Natural History in Paris, where I studied how local ecological interactions impact the diversification of colour patterns and wing shapes in swallowtail butterflies (Papilionidae) at the macroevolutionary scale, using phylogenetic comparative methods and computer vision.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am now investigating how environmental constraints shape the evolution and distribution of social traits in ants.
