Les oeuvres sont choisies par les conceptrices du cours selon trois crit\u00e8res: 1. ce sont des pi\u00e8ces anciennes, <strong>rarement ou jamais jou\u00e9es<\/strong> dans les th\u00e9\u00e2tres commerciaux aujourd&rsquo;hui; 2. elles illustrent <strong>une histoire alternative <\/strong>du th\u00e9\u00e2tre europ\u00e9en, diff\u00e9rente de celle habituellement propos\u00e9e dans les cursus acad\u00e9miques; 3. la remise en sc\u00e8ne de ces oeuvres du pass\u00e9 pose <strong>des probl\u00e8mes d&rsquo;interpr\u00e9tation<\/strong> actuels, que ce soit sur le plan culturel ou pratique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">D\u00e9roul\u00e9 du travail<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Les \u00e9tudiant\u00b7es, r\u00e9uni\u00b7es en petits groupes, sont encadr\u00e9\u00b7es tout au long du semestre par des <strong>historien\u00b7nes<\/strong>, par des <strong>professionnel\u00b7les de la sc\u00e8ne<\/strong> et par des i<strong>ng\u00e9nieures p\u00e9dagogiques<\/strong> sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 virtuelle. Le travail se d\u00e9roule en trois \u00e9tapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>La recherche en archives et la lecture<\/strong> <strong>des pi\u00e8ces originales <\/strong>, pour cerner les contextes historiques et les probl\u00e8mes de compr\u00e9hension qu&rsquo;elles posent aujourd&rsquo;hui.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>L\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 virtuelle immersive<\/strong>, pour faire l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience sensible des conditions de spectacle (jouer \/ regarder) \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque o\u00f9 les pi\u00e8ces ont \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9es.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Des propositions de mises en sc\u00e8ne<\/strong> et\/ou <strong>d&rsquo;enqu\u00eates scientifiques<\/strong>, pour r\u00e9soudre les difficult\u00e9s rep\u00e9r\u00e9es \u00e0 la lecture et proposer de nouvelles interpr\u00e9tations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Des archives \u00e0 la pratique, des nouvelles technologies au travail du corps, ARCHAS invite \u00e0 croiser de mani\u00e8re r\u00e9flexive les instruments d\u2019interpr\u00e9tation avec lesquels nous pouvons aujourd\u2019hui aborder l\u2019histoire du th\u00e9\u00e2tre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARCHAS pour qui?<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;Atelier est ouvert \u00e0 tou\u00b7tes les \u00e9tudiant\u00b7es du Master inter-romand d&rsquo;\u00e9tudes th\u00e9\u00e2trales, ainsi qu&rsquo;\u00e0 tou\u00b7tes les \u00e9tudiant\u00b7es de master int\u00e9ress\u00e9\u00b7es de la Facult\u00e9 des Lettres de l&rsquo;UNIL, quelles que soient les sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s. These works are selected by course instructors based on three criteria: 1. they are <strong>old plays<\/strong>, seldom or never performed in contemporary commercial theaters; 2. they exemplify an a<strong>lternative narrative of European theatre history,<\/strong> diverging from the conventional offerings in academic curricula; 3. the reinterpretation of these historical works presents <strong>current interpretative challenges<\/strong>, whether cultural or practical.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work Process<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Students, gathered in small groups, are supervised throughout the semester by historians, professionals from the stage, and educational engineers specialized in virtual reality. The work unfolds in three stages.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Research in archives and reading of original plays<\/strong>, to understand the historical contexts and the comprehension issues they pose today.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Experimentation in immersive virtual reality,<\/strong> to experience the sensory conditions of performance (acting\/viewing) at the time the plays were created.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Proposals for staging<\/strong>, to address the difficulties identified in reading and to offer new interpretations.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>From archives to practice, from new technologies to bodily work, ARCHAS invites a reflexive crossroads of interpretative tools with which we can approach the history of theatre today.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For whom?<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Workshop is open to all students of the Inter-romand Master&rsquo;s program in Theatre Studies, as well as to all interested master&rsquo;s students from the Faculty of Arts at UNIL, regardless of their specialties.
