Biography
Cecilia Lotto (MD) is a medical doctor specialized in Otorhinolaryngology (HENT) and currently a research assistant at the University Hospital of Lausanne, under the supervision of Prof. Lukas Anschütz.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Parma (Italy) in 2019 and completed her clinical and surgical training in ENT at the University of Bologna in 2025.
During her residency, she spent a research period at the University of Bern, where she developed a strong interest in advanced imaging of the temporal bone.
Scientific research
Her current research focuses on high-resolution and phase-contrast imaging techniques to study the anatomy and physiology of the middle and inner ear. Her activities include temporal bone dissections, specimen preparation, 3D segmentation, and quantitative anatomical analyses of key middle and inner ear structures.
