Welcome to the web-page of the AI & Digital Economy Lab, the research project at HEC Lausanne, funded by the Sandoz Foundation, Monique de Meuron Programme! Our research is designed to investigate the strategic utilisation of data for growth and innovation<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The escalating significance of data in the digital economy cannot be overstated. Data serves as a fundamental input in driving advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Financial Information (FinTech) technologies, offering the potential to foster substantial innovation, enhance efficiency, lower inequality, inform policies and strategies, enlarge current markets, or penetrate novel markets. At the same time, the rise of the data economy is changing sources of revenue and sources of risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our research focus is how Fintech democratises financial markets<\/strong><\/span><\/span> and affects financial inclusion<\/strong>. We track transformations AI<\/span> and Big Data introduce for the competition landscape<\/strong>. We undertake a comprehensive evaluation of policy regulations<\/strong> pertaining to <\/span>data use and privac<\/span>y<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
