{"id":378,"date":"2020-11-09T15:46:03","date_gmt":"2020-11-09T14:46:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/agrarianrepublics\/?page_id=378"},"modified":"2020-11-27T16:38:24","modified_gmt":"2020-11-27T15:38:24","slug":"teaching","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/agrarianrepublics\/teaching\/","title":{"rendered":"Teaching"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>During the course of the project, we have developed two research seminars for masters and advanced undergraduate students in the Department of History at the University of Lausanne.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<em>R\u00e9publiques agraires et le spectre de la R\u00e9volution<\/em>&#8221;&nbsp;(MA seminar,&nbsp;2017-18)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<em>D\u00e9mocratie et Despotisme en Am\u00e9rique, 1776-1840<\/em>&#8221;&nbsp;(BA seminar,&nbsp;2019-20)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seminars have provided an ideal setting in which to delve into a wide range of the project&#8217;s themes, by developing presentations and discussing questions with bright, motivated students who were learning firsthand how to conduct independent historical research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One result of the seminars is that the participants have begun to apply different techniques, digital and otherwise, to the organisation and visualisation of information.
