Struggling to pay your bills?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACIDUL can offer punctual support once per academic year (1st August-31st July), for a maximum of 1&rsquo;000 francs. Rules and conditions for this support can be found <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/acidul\/files\/2025\/11\/fsd-acidul_english-version_22.10.2025.pdf\">here<\/a><\/strong>. To apply, please send us an email (acidul@unil.ch) explaining your situation and the amount you need, with proof of your immatriculation as a PhD student at UNIL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">**************<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wish to pursue a PhD at UNIL, several long term funding options are available to you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can find a position as a graduate assistant (<em>assistant\u00b7e dipl\u00f4m\u00e9\u00b7e<\/em>) by checking UNIL\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/career5.successfactors.eu\/career?company=universitdP&amp;career_ns=job_listing_summary&amp;navBarLevel=JOB_SEARCH&amp;_s.crb=PsccOVQ6GYtc2oETUbXzVmM3LAk%3d\">job offers<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can be hired as a PhD student on a SNSF (or other external funding) project by a professor. These positions are generally advertised <a href=\"https:\/\/career5.successfactors.eu\/career?company=universitdP&amp;career_ns=job_listing_summary&amp;navBarLevel=JOB_SEARCH&amp;_s.crb=PsccOVQ6GYtc2oETUbXzVmM3LAk%3d\">here<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can choose to self-finance your PhD by working alongside it, e.g., as a teacher in a school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can find another means of funding, such as a scholarship or grant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that <strong>a minimum income of 2500 Swiss francs per month<\/strong> is necessary to live decently in Switzerland.
