In an era increasingly marked by gender backlash, the legal protection of reproductive and health data has become a critical battlefield. This presentation compares the legal landscapes of Canada and Switzerland, evaluating how current frameworks handle the vulnerabilities of sensitive health data. By highlighting practical gaps and legal uncertainties, this session examines whether existing laws are sufficiently robust to protect women\u2019s rights in an evolving and sometimes hostile socio-political climate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Short Bio:<\/strong> Karen Sandoval earned her Ph.D. in International Law from the University of Montreal. Her research focuses on AI governance and women\u2019s rights within the UN system. She is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Ottawa and the University of Neuch\u00e2tel. Her expertise includes AI regulation, data privacy in Femtech, and digital backlash analysis.
