Do you excel in implementing and experimenting with advanced AI models? Can you work independently as well as part of a team in a highly dynamic environment? Are you available for at least two semesters?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are seeking highly motivated students to gain hands-on research experience in AI-related projects at the Chair of AI and Data Science, HEC Lausanne, working closely with Stanford University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About this position<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Workload: part-time, 20% weekly commitment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duration:\u00a0<strong>At least two semesters<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compensation: Based on UNIL\u2019s standard salary rates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responsibilities: Assist in the research projects and teaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Opportunity to contribute to leading-edge AI research and teaching.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Varied tasks such as assisting in research projects, developing AI models, performing data analyses and teaching.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your Profile:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong>\u00a0A degree or current studies in\u00a0<strong>computer science or related disciplines<\/strong> and enrollment in a master\u2019s or bachelor\u2019s program at EPFL or UNIL<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Language Skills:<\/strong>\u00a0Proficient in English<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technical Skills:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficient in working with Linux servers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of deep learning models such as CNN, LSTM, ResNet, and LLM.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with PyTorch Lightning or Hugging Face libraries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of model training, evaluation methods, and metrics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Desirable Skills:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience with large datasets and models like BERT.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Skills in fine-tuning models.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience developing graph neural networks and knowledge bases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Capability in end-to-end training of large models in language processing, computer vision, graph analysis, or recommendation systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested candidates are invited to send their applications to&nbsp;<a>yuanjun.feng@unil.ch<\/a>.
