Then, I address the issues of disinformation and Echo Chamber, and whether platforms have amplified polarization. Referring to the development of the Alt-Tech, I address the dilemma of deplatforming extremists. In conclusion, I put forward a provocation: is polarization THE problem? And ask, would you meet anyone who didn&#8217;t think like you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Short Bio<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr.&nbsp;S\u00e9bastien Salerno is a researcher and teacher at the University of Geneva. Combining qualitative and quantitative methods with communication theories, he studies platforms, their legal framework, content, and reception.
