We offer innovative and impactful topics at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Management. In particular, we favour topics related to organisational, social and environmental implications of AI. We jointly select topics based on interest, fit and the study focus of the students. We are also happy to supervise thesis based on industry internships that have elements of AI or emerging technologies in it (but the internships must be organised by students themselves).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. AI for Legal and Justice<\/h5>\n\n\n\n
Description: Legal aid organizations like Caritas face a heavy workload while helping vulnerable people navigate complex legal systems. This project challenges you to design, build, and evaluate a working proof-of-concept tool that solves a real problem for legal professionals. Depending on the problem you choose to tackle, your work could involve technologies such as agentic AI workflows, search and RAG, document analysis and classification, speech-to-text and translation, predictive modeling, and many more. This project is part of a collaboration between the University of Lausanne, the University of St. Gallen, and Caritas Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
