La bande blanche, tout \u00e0 gauche, est la paroi du ventre maternel, et on distingue tr\u00e8s bien les yeux, le cerveau et m\u00eame le nez du f\u0153tus. Plus bas, on distingue les battements de son c\u0153ur. Ci-dessous, l\u2019image sous divers angles, avec son \u00e9chelle:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"303\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/20ans-fbm\/files\/2024\/05\/41598_2017_15701_MOESM1_ESM.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-994\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette image est le r\u00e9sultat d\u2019une petite prouesse technique r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par l\u2019\u00e9quipe de Matthias Stuber, professeur de l\u2019UNIL et un des responsables de section du Centre d\u2019imagerie biom\u00e9dicale (CIBM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En effet, visualiser les battements du c\u0153ur d\u2019un f\u0153tus, \u00e9valuer la morphologie et la dynamique cardiaques sont une gageure pour les m\u00e9decins. En cause, la petite taille des structures anatomiques, bien s\u00fbr, mais aussi divers \u00abparasites\u00bb: la respiration de la m\u00e8re, par exemple, ou encore les mouvements du f\u0153tus. Car comme le d\u00e9montre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CE7NrKNcOMs&amp;t=27s\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CE7NrKNcOMs&amp;t=27s\">cette vid\u00e9o<\/a>, c\u2019est \u00e0 un v\u00e9ritable gymkhana qu\u2019on se livre l\u00e0-dedans!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Surtout, impossible d\u2019obtenir un \u00e9lectrocardiogramme\u202ffiable: \u00abOn ne peut bien s\u00fbr pas poser d\u2019\u00e9lectrodes au f\u0153tus, et si on les met \u00e0 la m\u00e8re, c\u2019est son c\u0153ur \u00e0 elle qu\u2019on va entendre, explique Matthias Stuber. D\u00e8s lors, la grosse difficult\u00e9 est de synchroniser les donn\u00e9es acquises par IRM avec les battements cardiaques du f\u0153tus.\u00bb&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est pourtant ce qu\u2019ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 faire les scientifiques: \u00e0 partir d\u2019un enregistrement ininterrompu de 10 secondes par coupe, ils sont parvenus \u00e0 reconstruire une image d\u2019une r\u00e9solution spatiale et temporelle suffisante pour d\u00e9tecter les contractions du petit c\u0153ur. Des r\u00e9sultats publi\u00e9s dans <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/29138508\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Scientific Reports<\/em><\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une technologie qui pourra \u00eatre mise \u00e0 profit, en compl\u00e9ment de l\u2019\u00e9chographie, pour le diagnostic pr\u00e9natal de malformations cardiaques.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019heureux gagnant du Quiz n\u00b05 est <strong>Mathieu Bergonzo<\/strong>, \u00e9tudiant \u00e0 la FBM.
