The vertical geology conference will take place in the University of Lausanne which is located on the lakeshore of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman), close to the city of Lausanne, in the French speaking part of Switzerland. Geneva airport is located about 60 km from the University and is served by many companies. An alternative is to come through Zurich airport, located 230 km from Lausanne.
A dense railroad network, operated by the SBB, allows you to go, from stations located inside the airports, to Lausanne or Renens, from where local transportations are available. Information and schedules for these transportations are also provided by the SBB website. A free transport card for local transportations can be delivered by the hotels. Direct trains from European cities as Paris or Milano is also an option.
The university is located close to the highway network. An exit for the university is located on the ramp to South Lausanne.
