The theme of the preconference of the congress will be :
To write to be published
Successful publication plays a key role element in making a scientific career. Therefore, it is of utmost importance for junior researchers to be fully aware of requirements of scientific journals and publishing houses.
The preconference provides PhD students with an opportunity to meet editors of scientific journals and to understand the best ways to present their results so as to be published in high-rated journals.
Two workshops will be organised to meet these needs.
- The first addresses advanced PhD students and will be led by Prof. Madeleine Arnot, University of Cambridge (Faculty of Education), who has been a member of various editorial boards of scientific journals
- The second addresses PhD students at the beginning of their PhD thesis and will be led by two scholars, who have responsibilities in Swiss scientific journals focused on teaching and education. It will be led by Prof. Félix Bühlmann, University of Lausanne and Prof. Nicolas Perrin, Haute Ecole Pédagogique Vaud and a member of the editorial team at The Swiss Journal of Educational Research.
In both workshops, the number of participants is limited up to 20. Both workshops will be held in English.
