Presentation

The Accounting Research Groups at HEC University of Lausanne and University of St.Gallen are pleased to announce the 2nd co-chaired Swiss Accounting Research Alpine Camp.

In 2020 the event will be held at Andermatt, on February 6-7 2020. The Research Camp aims at bringing together both experienced researchers, early career researchers, and PhD students to exchange research ideas and projects in one of the most popular Swiss Alps ski resorts.

We invite submissions of papers in all areas of financial and management accounting. We encourage submissions of empirical studies employing novel data and approaches both in terms of data gathering (e.g. field studies, experiments, and hand-collected) or settings (e.g. private firms, European data, banks and financial services,) to answer research questions of potential interests to regulators and practice.

Original papers to be considered for the workshop should be submitted no later than September 1st, 2019. Please make sure information about the authors are not included in the manuscript but in a separate file. A limited number of papers will be invited for presentation.

Participation fee per person is 295 CHF (195 CHF for PhD students/non-faculty), which covers conference access, paper downloads, coffee breaks, a lunch, and a conference dinner on Thursday night. Participants will cover their own travel and accommodation costs. Places are limited and early registration is encouraged.

We encourage participants to enjoy the Swiss outdoors! Andermatt offers amazing ski, snow-shoe and mountain walk opportunities. Additionally, for those that prefer more relaxing activities, the quaint ski town is full of Swiss restaurants, cozy coffee shops and spa/sauna accommodations.
