Near and far visual processing in neglect patients

Principal Investigator: Dr. Sonia Crottaz-Herbette

Overview

Neglect deficits in patients with right parietal damage can concern the near, peripersonal, space (i.e. within manipulatory range) or the far space (outside reaching distance). Several studies have been conducted to determine if lesions in specific regions are inducing more deficits in the near or the far space but results so far have not been conclusive. In this project we are investigating near and far visual deficits in patients with right brain damage by using a new task.
