A few weeks ago, part of the current Class of 2018 joined a visit organised by the programme to the OMEGA headquarters in Biel/Bienne.
After a warm welcome upon arrival, our participants dove right into the subject with an “All about OMEGA” presentation by CEO Mr. Aeschlimann. “A great example from a leadership and public speaking point of view. He was prepared and managed to make references to companies some of us are working for. “, highlights Fabrice.
“Mr. Aeschlimann truly transmitted the passion of his brand, from the incredible history to the vision of the future.”, recalls Raphaël. The presentation covered also today’s challenges and how the company faces them; connected watches, quartz watches, influencers, Millennials, Snapchat… “The world is changing and Omega will be part of it.”, he adds.
The HEC Lausanne Executive MBA participants then moved on to the visit of the new factory for more technical insights. “A clear, transparent, extremely well organised building”, says Raphaël. “The glass and wood architecture invites to dream and observe watchmakers assemble step by step the final product.”
The outing ended with a well-deserved apéro and the visit of the OMEGA museum. “A trip totally worth it”, sums up Ziroli.
