Oral presentations

Speakers

  • Proposals for papers may be submitted in French or English.
  • For oral presentations, English is encouraged to facilitate exchanges, but support in French (summary, PowerPoint) will be welcome, and vice versa.

Chairs

  • The chair is responsible for welcoming the audience, introducing the speakers, and general timekeeping during the panel session.
  • Having read the the abstracts, he/she will listen to the presentations. He/she will discuss the presentations in order to provide the audience with insights about the substance and significance of the papers. He/she will start a discussion with the speakers, helping to clarify grey areas unveiled during the oral presentations and suggesting complementary perspectives. He/she will engage a critical debate.
  • After this first debate, a discussion will be engaged with the audience.

Plenary lectures

  • Organizers will invite well-known researchers (Keynotes speakers) in the field of Sport and/or Youth History, whom works are related to the conference’s theme.
  • After the lecture, the session chair and and the discussant will ask questions and engage a critical debate with the speaker.
  • After this first debate, a discussion will be engaged with the audience.
