Biology meetings take place every year to celebrate Darwin’s birthday and to share the latest scientific research in ecology and evolution. This year the conference will take place at the University of Lausanne, on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 February 2016. Please book the date!

Besides four plenary lectures by established Swiss and international researchers, Biology’16 provides the opportunity to young scientists from Swiss universities and research institutions to present their work. We will celebrate Darwin’s birthday with due respect at the Darwin Party.

The conference is organized on behalf of the Swiss Zoological Society, Swiss Botanical Society and the Swiss Systematics Society, and in 2016 with the participation of the Swiss chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology and the support of the International Biogeography Society (IBS) and the IBS Swiss representative.

Two pre-conference Workshops “Women in Science” and “Recherche-Pratique” will be held on Wednesday 10 February 2016.

More information on the program and organization will follow.

We are looking forward to seeing you in February in Lausanne,
The organizing committee
